Food Processor Smoothie Bowl: The Easiest Recipe of Its Kind

Yes, there are plenty of smoothie bowl recipes out there but I read through several and found them to have too many ingredients or required an ice cream maker, which I don’t have.

I simplified my recipe to make life with littles easier.

Blend any frozen fruit with a splash of milk or a heaping scoop of Greek yogurt and you are good to go!

Possible toppings include but are not limited to chia seeds, shredded coconut, cinnamon, granola, any dang fruit you want, and more!

The Recipe

I have found so many recipes for smoothie bowls, but if you

  • Don’t have an ice cream maker
  • Are looking for as few ingredients as possible

This may be the recipe for you!

Because… who has time for complicated recipes when you are both trying to care for little humans AND make the time to work out?

Ingredients

  • Frozen fruit bag of your choice
    • Tropical is my favorite and perfect for summer
    • Blueberry is delicious but leaves more of a texture than all the other frozen fruites
    • Strawberry blends the best in my opinion
    • You all know how I feel about bananas so I’m not even going there!
  • EITHER a splash of milk or a heaping spoonful of yogurt

The Process

  1. Fill your food processor halfway with your choice of frozen food
  2. Add either a splash of milk or a heaping spoonful of yogurt
  3. Blend
    • Be patient – this takes a long time in a food processor, but if you wait, it will work and give you the ice cream/smoothie bowl texture

The Toppings

Possible toppings include but are not limited to: chia seeds, shredded coconut, cinnamon, granola, any dang fruit you want, and more!

The reason I love it

Healthy doesn’t need to be complicated!

This recipe is refreshing for summer and just downright declicious.

Side note: all the parts of this food processor are machine washable which makes cleanup a snap. Always a bonus. ๐Ÿ‘
